Ten top African contenders to represent the continent in the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022 have been paired.
They now know their opponents after the draw for the Third and Final Round of the African Qualifiers was held on Saturday in Cameroon, the host of the on-going 33rd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The draw which held in Douala, one of the venues for AFCON 2021 was conducted by CAF Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu who was assisted by CAF legends El Hadji Diouf of Senegal and Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
One by one the names of the countries were picked out from the two Pots hosting five countries each according to their ranking in Africa just as the qualifiers will hold in March with the first mentioned side hosting the first leg tie.
The full pairing for the final:
Egypt v Senegal
Cameroon v Algeria
Ghana v Nigeria
DR Congo v Morocco
Mali v Tunisia
