Sequel to the intervention of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, The Sun Associate Editor, Ebere Wabara, who was abducted by policemen from Abia State Command, has been released on bail.
He was released at about 10:15pm on Saturday, the Correspondent of The Sun in Abia State, Chuks Onuoha, took Wabara’s bail.
Wabara was told to report to the office of the Commissioner of Police in Umuahia, Abia State on Monday at 10am.
The literal abduction of the Editor who doubles as Special Assistant to former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Friday had received condemnation from the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
