Despite and inspite all the prevailing challenges Nigeria is currently facing, the NFF through the power of football is already lifting and positively changing the mood of the Country.
Nigeria, more than ever before is desperately in need of something special to ignite and lift her spirit beyond the current hardship, and the Performance of the Super Eagles in Cote D’Ivoire could not have come at a better time.
The Super Eagles came into the Africa Cup of Nations as an outsider to reach the last four, talk more of reaching the final and possibly winning the trophy.
But three weeks into the tournament that started with 24 Countries, only Nigeria and Host Ivory Coast are still standing for an exclusive chance to lifting the trophy on the 11th of February at the Alhassana Ouatarra stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.
At a time when almost everything is struggling to work at a pace that will satisfy the Nigerian people, football through the Super Eagles is definitely working and giving millions of Nigerians renewed course to believe again in the Nigerian Project.
The Eagles all round performance through out the tournament is a perfect epitome of what a renewed hope should look like, and this could be the catalyst the Present Government of President Bola Tinubu needs for the country to start seeing the full benefits of his administration.
The Present board of the Nigeria football federation led by Ibrahim Gusau has always maintained its focus to maximise the power of football to put smiles on the faces of millions of Nigeria scattered across world, with impressive performance of the national teams.
The Gusau led board will be two years in office this year but it’s achievements thus far is obvious for all to see, in terms of the stability of the game and success story of the national teams.
It will be recalled that the Nigeria women team, the Super falcons also recorded an eye-catching achievement at the FIFA women’s World Cup last in Australia, even when nobody gave them a chance. READ ALSO:
