Nathan Tella is reeling with excitement following Bayer Leverkusen’s title success.
Die Werkself claimed the 2023/24 Bundesliga title after a 5-0 annihilation of Werder Bremen at the BayArena on Sunday.
It was the club’s first title in their 120-year existence.
“Feeling happy and tired, but ultimately really happy for all fans, players, staff and everyone involved in the club,” Tella told ESPN.
“I think it is probably one of, if not the best day in the history of the club. I’m happy we can all be a part of it. Champions have a nice right to it.”
The 24-year-old also reflected on winning the title in his first season with Bayer Leverkusen.
“Yeah it’s obviously very special. I’ve always said trophies aren’t guaranteed,” Tella added. READ ALSO:

“The fact that I’ve had an opportunity to come to this club in my first season with an incredibly talented group of players, unbelievable coaching staff, and win something first time of asking is special. It’s an important moment for the history of the club.”
