Augustine Okechukwu, popularly known as Tekno, on Friday, released a new single, titled, ‘Wayo’ and accompanied by a music video.
In the song, Tekno utilises the Nigerian slang term, “Wayo”, to convey the concept of coercion and deception.
The word, “Wayo”, is a Nigerian slang which means to coerce or deceive someone into believing a false narrative.
However, in the song, Tekno uses the word to reassure his lover of his pure intentions and undying devotion to her.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that it is the singer’s first single of the year.
The song which was produced by Shugavybz sees Tekno unleashing his vocals as he gives assurance to his life interest.
