Taraba State Acting Governor Abubakar Danladi, has constituted a six-man panel to look into the payment by Dangote Group to land owners in Lau community in Lau Local Government Area.
The committee headed by Uba Maigari Ahmadu, is charged to determine among other things, to “determine if funds released for compensation to land owners on their land acquired by Dangote Group of Companies were actually and correctly paid to the real land owners”
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, members of the committee include are: Danladi Baido, Planner Ivo, Headman Nanjo,Surveyor Ishaya Abadu , S.A Prince Bulus Audu and Abubakar Bala while Yakubu Bulus will serve as secretary.
Also, the committee is expected to: ”determine and consider all complaints written to Government over the discrepancy in the payment of compensation for their land.
