Benjamin Tanimu has been called for the Super Eagles 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, PNO Sports reports.
Tanimu was handed a late invitation for injured Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Osayi-Samuel, who was part of the Super Eagles squad to the AFCON 2023 finals in Cote d’Ivoire pulled out of the squad due to injury.
Tanimu has already arrived the Super Eagles Four Points by Sheraton Hotel base in Uyo.
The centre-back breezed into the team’s camp alongside Samuel Chukwueze on Tuesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old is expected to be part of the team’s first training session at the practice pitch of Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo later tonight.
He joined English League One club, Crawley Town from Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars last week Friday.
