President of Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau has vowed to delete any referee found wanting in a deliberate attempt to change the outcome of a game due to influence from club managers.
Gusau disclosed this to Promptnewsonline.com as he marks 100 days in office, saying that Nigerian football must be properly position to attract investors.
“Before the league commenced I met with the premier league referees and we all resolved to move from the old order to new order by doing the right thing.
“I always told them that this administration will not suspend any referee found wanting but will be deleted as a referee in Nigeria.
“It is sad that Nigerian referees are not considered by CAF and FIFA for its competitions due to improper handling of matches.
“I have told them don’t take bribe to influence the outcome of a match. If you do count yourself out of referee. I insist in doing the right thing”. Gusau said.
Gusau also expressed his desire organise regular training for our referees by bringing the world best referees.
