For the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior women’s football outfit, Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum, the few days the team has spent in Rabat, Morocco have been very rewarding as the squad continued to adapt to the local weather conditions by training daily at different playing surfaces.
This is even as the 25 players who were selected by Waldrum to prosecute the 12th CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) Morocco 2022 have been responding to the coach’s training regime which include technical and tactical sessions.
Prompt News can confirm that Super Falcons have not trained in the competition venue since arrival in Rabat on Monday, instead the African Champions have made use of different privately arranged pitches including an artificial surface to knock the team into shape.
But it has been gathered that Super Falcons will this weekend have access to the competition approved training pitches in Rabat while the team will have a two hours session inside Complexe Moulay Hassan, Rabat on Sunday ahead of Monday’s opener against arch-rivals Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
The 12th CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will kick off on Saturday, July 2 with Morocco versus Burkina Faso match at Complexe Moulay Abdallah, Rabat.
