In a deal that will bring nothing to top Nigeria Women Premier Leaque (NWPL) club, River Angels of Port Harcourt, the team’s number one goalkeeper and Super Falcons goalie, Chiamaka Nnadozie has signed an18-month deal to ply her trade abroad for a French Division 1 women’s team, Paris FC.
But sportsrevelation can confirm that the former U-17 & U-20 teams goalkeeper moved to Paris FC which is lying in the sixth position in the 12th-team French Division 1 league for free just as it was agreed that an undisclosed compensation fee and commission will be paid to Rivers Angels for the transfer of the youthful goalkeeper.
A top official of the Port Harcourt-based club, Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha who confirmed the transfer did not however give details of the deal, although she disclosed that Nnadozie promised to get back to the club soon.
However, it was gathered that Nnadozie who performed creditably in goal for Coach Thomas Dennerby tutored Super Falcons in last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup final in France may be back to Nigeria to formalize her traveling documents before returning to Paris FC to help the struggling club.
The club has only won five out of 13 games and has conceded a whopping 26 goals in the process to garner a paltry 7 points in the league led by Olympique Lyon feminine with 35 points in 13 matches and 11 wins. Paris FC defeated Montpellier 2-1 at their at home last Saturday and will face Dijon on February 8 even as Nnadozie is expected to make the squad for the home game against Stade De Reims on 22nd February, 2020.
