Former Super Eagles captain, Austine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has said the Super Eagles deserved their victory against Cote d’Ivoire.
The former champions silenced the home fans with an impressive 1-0 victory at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium on Thursday night.
Okocha claimed the Super Eagles fought hard for the victory.
“It was an important victory for us. It puts us in a very good position,” the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder told France 24.
“It was a very difficult game, it is never easy to play against the host but we showed a lot of character today and deservingly we won the game.” READ ALSO:
