The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has announced the end of Ramadan fast.
This is sequel to the sighting of moon on Saturday evening in Borno and Adamawa states, northeast Nigeria.
Consequently, the Sultan announced that tomorrow, Sunday will be observed as the Eid-el Fitri.
The Eagle Online reports that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had earlier in the day announced the sighting of the moon, signaling the end of Ramadan.
