Award-winning Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson, is trending on twitter.
The dark-skinned actor and best actor (Drama) at the AMVCA7 has not won another award this time.
He’s trending because it has just come to the fore that he’s dating a 19-year-old girl, Lydia Agahan.
Timini, 32, and younger brother to popular actress, Dakore Egbuson, is being criticised for dating Lydia, a blogger, considered to be too young for him.
Some of his critics were even surprised that he’s not as young as they thought but in his early 30s.
Prompt News reports that despite pockets of attacks, dozens of Nigerians on twitter believe that Timini, from Bayelsa state and graduate of University of Lagos, has not crossed the bar by dating a teenager.
Timini’s admirers believe if there was not wrong in a Regina Daniels, marrying a man of 60+, then, Timini has not done anything illegal since legal age for adulthood is 18.
Some even tweeted that those bashing @_Timini have been sleeping with ‘Sugar Daddies’ from age 15.
