Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has expressed satisfaction with the organization and standard of this year’s Federation Cup that is at the final stage.
Speaking after the semi final match between Rivers Angels and Pelican Stars, Director of competition, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed said the NFF is impressed with the way the Federation Cup has gone so far.
He stated that from the way the Federation Cup has been a real success and that the NFF feels justified for effecting changes in its organization.
“We are happy with the way the Fed Cup has been played so far. The teams involved have not complained of being cheated. We are pleased and can only improve on this year’s organization.
“By the grace of God the finals in Lagos will be very glamorous. There will be prize money of two million for the champions, one million for the second placed team in the males category while the winner of the women version will cart home N1 million and the runners up go home with N500,000” he said.
Dr. Sanusi also disclosed that there will also be individual prizes for most valuable player and highest goal scorer to be won in both the men and women finals.
