More dignitaries have confirmed their attendance of next Friday’s Sportsville Special Recognition Awards ceremony billed for Eko Club, Surulere Lagos. The latest on the cards is the highly-celebrated Arise TV Anchor, Oseni Rufai.
Rufai confirmed his attendance in a telephone discussion with Mr Frank Ilaboya, the Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville, Thursday.
“Frank, I got your invite and I will sure attend. I have already cleared my diary for that day.
“The sports sector is very vibrant and we need awards of this nature to motivate and encourage the stakeholders more”, he said on phone.
Rufai’s confirmation headlines the top dignitaries invited for the event which enters its 4th year in 2024.
Also ex D’Tigers Captain and NBA poster boy, Olumide Oyedeji, has also confirmed attendance.
Said he: “You can always count on me for anything you are doing. This is one award that is devoid of sentiments and monetary inducements, as a recipient in 2022 edition, I can confidently say this.”
Meanwhile, the organisers have added Integrity Category to this year’s edition to encourage practitioners to imbibe integrity in sports administration. READ ALSO:

Bose Kaffo, a five-time Olympian and Sports Integrity expert commends Sportsville for this initiative.
“Integrity in sports is one aspect we are overlooking in this part of the world, and I am very happy Sportsville is spearheading this all- important aspect of sports.”, she said.
