The Sokoto State House of Assembly on Thursday praised the swift accomplishments of Gov. Ahmad Aliyu in 100 days.
Alhaji Tukur Bala, the assembly’ Speaker, conveyed this commendation while speaking to reporters in Sokoto during his congratulatory message to the governor.
He emphasized that the projects completed by the government in a jiffy were tangible and greatly appreciated by the citizens.
“As lawmakers, we will continue to support the significant efforts of Gov. Aliyu’s administration by enacting the necessary laws to enhance the already successful policies and programmes.
“This progress aligns with the expectations of any democratic government, ensuring the proper dividends of democracy for the people,” he remarked.
Bala pointed out that the government had made significant achievements in education, agriculture, health, empowerment, portable water supply, and various aspects of human development.
The Deputy Speaker, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim (APC- Kware), also lauded the achievements of Aliyu’s administration, saying, “these accomplishments have set a precedence since the return of democracy in 1999.”
He extolled the government’s dedication to supporting security agencies and addressing security challenges, in addition to its efforts to alleviate economic hardship by allocating over N 5 billion for food distribution to the people of the state.
Ibrahim called on the government to maintain the happy tempo for the overall development of the state.
In his massage Malam Abubakar Shehu (APC-Yabo), Chairman of the House Committee on Religious Affairs, expressed his gratitude to the governor for his foresight in alleviating the current hardships faced by the citizens.
He pledged the continued support and fervent prayers for the administration’s success in fulfilling its commitments to the people. (NAN). READ ALSO:
