The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu administration.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the party praised the Federal Government’s recent appointments and projects as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to the state.
Alhaji Isa Sadiq-Achida, the state APC chairman, conveyed the party’s message during a news briefing on Friday in Sokoto, extending gratitude on behalf of the party and the youth of the state to Tinubu.
“We in the Sokoto state APC have many reasons to thank Allah (SWT) for vindicating our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We are grateful for his recognition and support,” Sadiq-Achida stated.
The chairman highlighted the recent appointments of two Sokoto state leaders to ministerial positions.
He said it was a demonstrated Tinubu’s appreciation for the state’s contributions to the party’s electoral success.
“Through this act, Mr President has shown his commitment to those who worked for our party’s victory at the polls.
“It also reflects his confidence in our respected leaders, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC- Sokoto North) and our Gov. Ahmed Aliyu,” he said.
Sadiq-Achida assured that APC members in Sokoto were deeply appreciative, noting that it was unprecedented for the state to receive such recognition.
“We are confident that the federal government’s programs and policies under Mr President’s leadership will elevate Nigeria to greater heights”, he said.
NAN reports that among the recent appointments, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi was named Minister designate, Labor and Employment while Alhaji Bello Goronyo was redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Works.
These decisions, Sadiq-Achida said, underscored the high regard in which Tinubu holds Sokoto State.
“This has silenced our detractors and reinforced our belief that President Tinubu is a leader who values his true allies,” he emphasised. (NAN).
