By Gracious Akujobi A new platform aimed at generating more prompt and valuable support for Nigeria Football and beyond has been unveiled.
The platform known as ‘Football Fans Social Network’, which is expected to sensitize football fans was formed to galvanize responsible and informed connection and interaction with fans of same club living in various country.
Speaking on the relevance of the organization, its coordinator Tam Oben, disclosed that Football Fans Festival will be organized at the end of the current football season in Nigeria.
According to him “Football is a game, is an entertainment platform and it will be right for us to be able to get fans to imbibe the meaning of sport. Sport is not all about wining but the basically an entertainment thing and it is also an avenue to improve your skills as an individual, community and as a country
“We discovered that fans have a lot of energy that is why we came up with the concept that we should have a festival for the fans and this festival is a platform where football fans all over the world, Manchester City, Arsenal, Kano Pillars, Shorting stars, Enyimba among others playing against each other to strengthen the peace and not to see each other as enemies
“At the end of each match there is problem and fans are fighting, we believe that when we begin them together, they can begin to think on how development will come. The platform will create a better synergy that can be direct toward a better direction” he stated.
On his part, a representative of the National Sports Commission Mr Pepple confirmed that the leadership of National Sports Commission (NSC) is solidly behind the lofty concept while calling on stakeholders to embrace and support it.
