Chidera Ejuke could be sidelined for a lengthy period after sustaining an Injury in Sevilla’s 5-1 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday night.
Ejuke copped the injury towards the end of the first half.
The electric winger was replaced by Belgium international Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta confirmed the unfortunate incident after the game.
“Ejuke is injured, he has felt a twinge in his hamstring and we will see how long it lasts,” Pimienta told the club’s official website.
The former Royal Antwerp star joined the Rojiblancos on a free transfer this summer.
The 26-year-old has scored once goal in nine league outings for the former UEFA Europa League champions.
