Former Napoli midfielder, Raffaele Ametrano has stated that Victor Osimhen is proving too difficult to handle for opposing defenders, reports Prompt News.
Osimhen was at his devastating best as Napoli returned to winning ways in the Italian top-flight courtesy of a 2-0 win at Sampdoria last weekend.
The Nigeria international scored the Partenopei’s first goal and also won a penalty.
The striker has now netted 10 times in 13 league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side this season.
“Victor Osimhen, he is a player who tires you to such that an extent that you lose the decisive metre,”Ametrano told Radio RCC as published by Tutto Napoli.
“Even in (Sunday’s) goal, he had a 10/15 metre dash ahead of the opponent.
“It’s not easy to mark Osimhen. He arrives with impressive clarity in the penalty area with the work he manages to do.
“If he manages to have physical and mental continuity, he will score a lot of goals between now and the end of the season.”
