Mrs Ifeoma Kalu, first wife of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, is dead, the senator has announced.
Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State, announced the passing to the glory of his wife via a post on his official social media handle.
He enjoined the general public to remember Mrs Ifeoma in their prayers as the family grief.
The former Chief Whip of the Senate wrote, “ “With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.
“She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
“A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.”
