Nigeria’s Senate has closed its morning session with the Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio setting up a three-man Committee to meet with the protesting organised labour.
The leadership of organised labour stormed the National Assembly (NASS) complex Wednesday morning to register their grievances on the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.
PROMPT NEWS understands that Senate President will interface with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) at a later date while the three-man committee in the immediate.
It is not clear if the protesting unions led by the NLC President Comrade (Barrister) Joe Ajaero and leaders of the affiliate unions will accept anyone else other than Senator Akpabio to address them. READ ALSO:
