Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Olufemi Michael Abikoye, has been commended for discharging his responsibility at the Embassy in Accra, in a professional manner.
The Senate Committee on Local Content gave the commendation in a letter addressed to the High Commissioner after a recent visit of members of the committee to Accra.
Senator Solomon Adeola, who chairs the committee and signed the “Appreciation Letter” said they were encouraged by positive results coming from Ghana since Abikoye’s assumption of office.
“May I use this medium to congratulate you on your achievements in the High Commission which we also witnessed.
“This shows your wealth of experience that comes to bear as a career diplomat.
“The committee and the entire Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is proud of you.
” When a professional, committed and dedicated person is at the helm of affairs, the people will surely feel the impact and society will be better for it.
“The positive results coming from Ghana today is very encouraging and it is a testimony of your hard work to promote and foster both bilateral and multilateral relationships that exist between Ghana and Nigeria.
“This achievement is phenomenal and is a plus to President Muhammad Buhari’s administration which is anchored on positive change,” Senator Adeola stated in the letter.
