Newly appointed Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has approved the release of eight players from the squad.
Administrative Secretary of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, while making available the list, stated that the team was working round the clock to ensure that the team is balanced in all positions to challenge for honors in the coming season effectively while wishing the affected players well wherever they find themselves.
The affected players are Chidera Ezeh, Jacob John, Innocent Gabriel and Emmanuel Charles.
Others Reuben Bala, Adam Musa, Rabiu Musa and Onyekachi Okoro.
The retained players are expected back in camp this weekend for the start of pre-season training.
The Flying Antelopes managed to escape relegation last season, PROMPT NEWS reports.
The Coal City club also lost in the final of the Federation Cup against Bendel Insurance.
