Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties in the final on Sunday night.
Messi scored seven goals and recorded three assists in the competition.
His Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Ball award after scoring the highest number of goals in the competition.
Mbappe ended the competition with eight goals.
Argentina midfielder, Enzo Fernandes was named the Best Young Player of the Tournament, while Emiliano Martinez scooped the Best Goalkeeper prize.
