A former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, Prof Attahiru Jega, is leading a Visitation Panel to the University of Ibadan, southwest Nigeria.
Prof Jega, also a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is leading other seven members on a fact-finding mission.
The panel is set up by the Federal Government to visit all the federal Universities to document the challenges facing the various institutions with a view to addressing them.
The Don who was impressed with what he met on ground requested the director of the Directorate of ITeMS, Mrs Abiodun Alao, to prepare a position paper of all the challenges and submit to him.
Prof Jega also visited Diamond FM, own by the University of Ibadan, where he was received by the General Manager, Mr. Paul Emokhare.
