On March 2018 Professor Charles Dokubo was appointed Special adviser Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his first days on assumption of office, Prof Dokubo have effective knowledge of the problems of niger delta people and how to resolve them so as to create an enduring peaceful coexistence in the region for business to strive successfully, Dokubo summoned meetings for niger delta stakeholders made of ex-agitators and leaders of the region for crucial meetings. During the meeting the problem of region was discovered and how to resolve them.
Besides deploring over 1,800 delegates to 145 institutions across the globe for various educational programmers by the offshore education unit of the amnesty office, not to mention over 200 students spread across 66 institutions in the 20 countries are currently studying various courses. The Offshore graduates who attained first class. Not to mention but a few.
After talking over the mantle of leadership, having been appointed in march and resumed in july, 2018, Dokubo opened a new vista that enabled the people of the region peep into new direction on the amnesty programme.
The new vista which amended the errors of the previous management of the amnesty programme include education, vocational post training engagement and job placement initiatives as well as sustainable plans.
The amnesty boss deserves to be commended for ensuring that the onshore education unit of the amnesty office attends promptly to the welfare of students pursuing degree programmed in Nigerian institutions. It would be recalled that in assumption of duty, Prof. Dokubo had tasked the onshore education unit to develop a sustainable plan for the next two years.
Dokubo managerial ability has led to finishing touches for the five vocational training centers across the Niger delta region to come on stream. There include the maritime vocational training centre at oboloma, river state, basic skills vocational training centre in boro town, kaiama, Bayelsa state, power and energy vocational training centre in Bomadi, delta state, oil and gas vocational training centre, agadagba-obon, ondo state and gelegele, Edo state. The region is felt with projects cuts across the ethnicity, all regions across the Niger delta are felt. With Dokubo in charge I affirm that President Buhari will be voted massively.
Evidence are bound that after a few months in office special adviser to the president on niger delta and coordinator of the presidential amnesty programme, prof Charles Dokubo has not only repositioned the agency, but has brought life, peace, succor and economic development to niger delta region. Indeed this has mark a new beginning for us and our people in the Niger delta. Today, we the people from this(Niger delta) region are in total support of Prof Dokubo and his achievements whose exploits speaks volume and a sure vote for Buhari. A renowned peace advocate of his personality, whose love for the unity of Niger delta people distinguishes him from others. With him the amnesty programme is sure on right track.
I wish to add that with Prof Charles Dokubo in the herm of affirms of the amnesty office, President Muhammadu Buhari is sure of a block vote from the region. Because with the level at with which Prof Charles has impacted the region, is a 100% vote for President Buhari.
