By Gracious Akujobi The management of Prime Football Club has confirmed the appointment of Samuel Abimbola, as head coach ahead of the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League season.
Abimbola, former National team and coach of Sunshine Star will be assisted by Deji Ayeni, Oluwashina Wasiu and Tunji Baruwa and Anayo Offor as the goal keeper trainers.
According to a release made available to Prompt News Online by the club’s spokesman, Tunde Shamsudeen, the new head coach has agreed to personal terms and is thus expected to sign the dotted lines before being unveiled next week.
Chairman of the club, Taiwo Ogunjobi says Prime believes in what Abimbola can bring to the team as he has a keen eye on discovering emerging talents and therefore, urged him and the coaching crew to work hard so as to actualize the dream of the team to be promoted to the elite division next season.
Meanwhile, the technical crew has listed a 36-man provincial squad made up of 15 players from last season squad to fight for jersey in the 2013/2104 season.
