ABUJA – By Paul Effiong President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja on Sunday after a two-week vacation in London, United Kingdom.
On ground to receive him at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, were a couple of Governors, Cabinet members, Military Chiefs and Police Chief as well as few Presidential Aides.
He told newsmen before departing the airport, “I am okay; you have seen me inspecting the guards of honour.
“You saw me when I was going and you saw me when I came back, you can access the situation yourself.”
The President left the country on Monday, June 6, 2016, on a 10-day vacation and was billed to return last week Wednesday.
However, he failed to return that day prompting State House correspondents to ask Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who told them that President Buhari would stay back till weekend to rest.
Osinbajo said he had spoken with the President, adding that he was in “perfect health.”
He also assured that he would return on Sunday to resume work on Monday.
Presidential Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, had said in a statement said that President Buhari would seize the opportunity of his vacation to see Ear, Nose and Throat (E.N.T) specialist in London to attend to a persistent ear infection.
