By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia The Managing Director of the National Integrated Power Project NIPP, James Olotu has said that necessary arrangements have been concluded to drop the 330KV line in Nasarawa state.
The 330 KV line that pass through Nasarawa from Enug to Jos and now Olotu said work would commence work very soon so as to put the issue of power in the state to rest.
Olotu, who dropped the hint on Monday when Al – Makura paid him a courtesy call in his office Abuja, assured that power supply would soon improve in Nasarawa state.
He also explained that his team of engineers has already visited the state for feasibility studies, adding that what was needed is the approval of Vice President Yemi Osibanjo which is already in the process.
According to him “NIPP will consider selective bidding to fast track the process and people of the state will soon smile”.
Speaking earlier, Governor Al – Makura said that he was in NIPP office to discuss on how to boost power generation in Nasarawa and assured them of all necessary support to fast track the process.
