The Kwara Government has assured residents of its resolve and commitment to improving their living standard as part of the dividends of democratic governance.
Hajia Mariam Ahmed, the state Commissioner for Energy, made the assertion on Tuesday in Ilorin while receiving a delegation of Tiwadire Landlords Community Development, Ajele Apata, Eyenkorin, in Asa Local Government Area of the state.
Ahmed said the administration of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is passionate about making good impact on the lives of people, promising that every part of the state will be fairly treated in the infrastructural transformation programmes of the governor.
She commended the community for the visit and assured them of her office’s preparedness to seek to address their problem.
“I appreciate your visit and have noted your points. I can assure you that we have a governor that is very passionate about improving the quality of life of the citizenry.
“The government is committed to fairly responding to the needs of the people, including having access to basic infrastructure and an improved security,” she said.
Earlier, Mr Jimoh Wakili, the Chairman of the community, who led the group on the visit, said they were in the ministry to felicitate with the commissioner on her deployment to the new office.
He said that the community has experienced blwckout in the past one year, while urging the government to provide them with a transformer to restore comfort and economic activities in the area.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the community, Mr Gbemisoya Oyewusi, commended the commissioner for the warm reception and prayed God to grant her strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the ministry to a success. (NAN)
