Nigerian street-pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, sparked outrage after clashing with a Christian outreach group.
It would be recalled that on Sunday, 25th of August, a live video surfaced showing the ‘Zazuu’ crooner, expressing his frustration with the evangelists, sparking discussion online.
Portable stated that a group he identified as ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses‘ gathered around his bar and restaurant in Ogun state, to deliver sermons that made him uncomfortable.
He stated that the group criticized his lifestyle, calling him the ‘prodigal son’ due to his extravagant spending.
According to him, the evangelists encouraged him to change his way of living and turn to God.
Portable, who claims to have good relationships with pastors, Muslim leaders, and traditional figures, as he ordered his crew to chase the group away.
