The Police in Yobe on Tuesday decorated 449 officers, file and rank with new ranks following their promotion by the Force Headquarters.
Decorating some of the promoted officers in Damaturu, the Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, charged them to be disciplined and dedicated to duty.
He said the elevated personnel include 104 officers and 344 rank and file.
Breaking down the figure, Garba said they comprised one DCP promoted to CP 1, eight DSP to SP, 13 ASP to DSP, 15 ASP ll to ASP l, 68 Insp to ASP 68, 327 Sgt. to Insp., 14 Cpl to Sgt., and three PC to CPL.
In his remarks, DCP Dungus Albdulkareem, the Spokesman of the Command, thanked the Force for his promotion from his previous rank of ASP.
He said the promotion would encourage him to redouble his efforts to serve the country better. (NAN)
