The police on Tuesday, charged two students with unruly public behaviour and cursing school authorities, in an Ado Magistrates’ Court.
The police charged Oluwaseyi Osadare and Blessing Ayodele, students of the Anglican High School, Adebayo, Ado Ekiti with breach of peace.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the two defendants committed the offence on July 23 at about 3 p.m at the premises of the school.
He alleged that the defendants engaged in a fight and also used foul words against the school.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code Acts, Cap C38, LFN 2004.
Magistrate Timothy Abe admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety each in like sum.
He ordered that the surety must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction and must have a valid identification card.
Abe adjourned the case until Aug. 29.
