The Delta State Police Command has apprehended two individuals in connection with the killing of an Uber driver and the assault of a commercial sex worker in Warri, Delta State.
The arrest was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe.
According to the police, the incident occurred in December 2024, when the suspects hired the Uber driver and invited a commercial sex worker to join them at a nightclub.
Following their outing, the suspects reportedly attacked the driver, strangling him to death, and assaulted the sex worker before throwing her out of the vehicle.
Edafe stated: “Viewer discretion is advised. We have arrested these two suspects who hired an Uber driver and also invited a commercial sex worker in Warri around December last year.
“They first took them to a nightclub and then, on their way to the supposed destination, they strangled and killed the driver and threw the girl out of the vehicle.”
The police have promised to ensure justice is served.
