Following Thursday crash that killed about 14 people, the aviation regulatory body, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has suspended the operations of Associated Airlines.
The Director-General, NCAA, Fola Akinkuotu, made the announcement when he paid a visit to injured passengers who are receiving treatment at the Ikeja General Hospital, Lagos.
“Associated Airlines operations have been suspended by the NCAA. Let me say for the purpose of clarity, I said their operations, I mean all the operations of Associated Airlines have been suspend by the NCAA,” he said.
The Akure-bound plane was carrying the remains of a former Governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Agagu with 20 passengers on board crashed shortly after takeoff from the Muritala International Airport, Lagos.
