Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro is on cloud nine following the huge honour bestowed on him and his players by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Peseiro and his players were warmly received by Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon following their impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles lost 2-1 against hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the competition. READ ALSO:

The players and their officials were awarded with national honours, plots of land as well as flats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the reception.
Peseiro took to the social media to show his appreciation to the president.
“Honored and proud.
“We were received and commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who reinforced what we already felt from the Nigerian people, participating in AFCON made the whole Nation dream, happy and united!” Peseiro wrote on his official X handle.
