Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro insists his team will continue to improve and put smile on the faces of soccer loving Nigerians.
Peseiro’s side rounded up their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday night.
The Super Eagles recorded five wins and one defeat in six games in the qualifiers.
Victor Osimhen also finished as top scorer with 10 goals.
Peseiro is a message on his Facebook page thanked his players for their commitment and the fans for their support.
“Proud of our team’s commitment in yesterday’s win! Even though we had already secured our qualification, there was no letting up; we fought from the first to the last minute,”he wrote. READ ALSO:
