Former Super Eagles midfielder Duke Udi has questioned calls for the team’s head coach Jose Peseiro to be sacked.
Peseiro came under-fire after the Super Eagles failed to record a win in their recent outings against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Udi stated that it will be unfair to sack the Portuguese after just two games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“It’s too early to sack a coach because he drew two matches. He has not lost,” the former Shooting Stars player told BBC Sports Africa.
“We are still on course for both competitions (the World Cup and Nations Cup). In Ivory Coast, anything can happen.” READ ALSO:

Peseiro will hope to redeem his image when hostilities begin at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations early next year in Cote d’Ivoire.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
The Super Eagles are in Group A with Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
