Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, has constituted 11- member committee to work out modalities for a workable reform of the State Pension Administration System.
This is contained in a press statement signed by Joshua Danmalam Information Officer SSGs office Gombe and made available to news men in Gombe on Tuesday.
He said the Committee which was headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Njodi is to review all issues associated with Contributory Pension Scheme for efficiency and to address the lingering issues of pension and gratuity payments for retirees in Gombe State,
The members of the Committee included the State Atonney General and Commissioner for Justice, Zubair Umar and his Finance and Information counterparts, Mohammed Magaji and Meshach Audu Lauco.
Other members are the State Auditor General, Muhammed Buba , Auditor General for Local Government, Mahdi Aliyu, the state Accountant General, Dr. Aminu Yuguda.
And Permanent Secretary SSG’s office, Muhammed Umar, Director State Pensions Bureau, Abubakar Jungudo, Executive Secretary Local Government Pension Board, Suleiman Mohammed and Usman Malam is to serve as Secretary to the Committee.
He said , the committee, assured of its commitment to come up with the various various finest pension system for the State within the shortest possible time for Governor Yahaya’s consideration and Implementation for the benefits of civil servants at both the State and Local Governments levels. (NAN)
