The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Mr Godwin Obaseki as Governor-Elect of Edo state.
Mr Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defeated his arch rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The incumbent governor polled a massive 307,955 votes to defeat Ize-Iyamu, who garnered 223,619 votes.
Obaseki won in 13 local governments while his opponent won in five (5) LGAs.
