Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been tipped to make it to the podium at the 2024 Olympic Games.
General Secretary of the Nigeria Olympics Committee, Tunji Popoola believed the team have what it takes to make a positive impact in Paris.
“We have a strong football team, I will tip them for a medal,”
“Also we should expect medals in athletics, weightlifting and wrestling.
“We will surprise Nigerians with a bag of medals,” Popoola stated ahead of the games scheduled to kick-off next week Friday.
The Super Falcons are making a return to the Olympics since the 2008 edition in Beijing.
Randy Waldrum’s side are drawn in a tough group with Spain, Japan and Brazil.
