The 2018 annual Five A Side Soccer Championship of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter will commence on Friday, 14th December 2018, with last year’s runners up, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) drawn in group A with Inspiration FM and Federated while Tribune, 32FM and NTA are in Group B.
According to the Chairman of the Competition’s Organising Committee, Mr Femi Amusan, who conducted the draw alongside an Ibadan Football Association Coach, Mr Akeem Olajide, BCOS will play the opening game of the competition against 2017 Third place winners, Inspiration FM at 3pm.
The second game of the day, which will kick off at 3:20 pm, will be between 2017 Semi finalists, Tribune and 32 FM
The two time winners of the competition, BCOS will thereafter square up with Federated Media on Monday 17th December, 2018 in their second game of the competition.
Later in the day, 32 FM will engage NTA in the last game of Day 2 of the tournament.
The top two teams in each of the groups will slug it out with each other in the semi final stage of the competition scheduled for Wednesday 19th of December.
The final game of the competition will hold on Thursday, 20th December.
All the matches of the competition will be played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
