The Chairman Oyo State Football Association Oba James Odeniran has been re-elected for another term in office.
The Akinyele monarch was re-elected unopposed on Thursday, 20th of June 2019 in Ibadan along side Mr Olawale Ayangbile as the state F.A Vice Chairman.
Also elected at the peaceful election, were an ex-international Mr Mutiu Adepoju, an Ibadan based legal practitioner Mr Rotimi Ali, as well as a football coach at the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Mr Michael Oladeni as board members.
The other elected board members are Mr John K. Ogunleye, Mr Mutiu Idowu, Alhaji Azeez Amusa and Alhaji Ganiyu Arole.
Speaking shortly after he was sworn in for another term in office, Oba James Odeniran said he would use his new term to consolidate on his previous achievements, pledging to promote women’s football and development of football at the grassroots.
The election was supervised by the Chairman Ogun State Football Association Alhaji Majekodunmi who also represented the NFF board, while the Chairman Oyo state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Mr Niyi Alebiosu was one of electoral officers who conducted the hitch free election.
