In line with the rules in her military calling, the 2019 Overall Best Graduating student of Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), (Navy), Uchechi Promise Echefu has started her mandatory one year professional training at the Nigerian Navy (NN) Naval facility in
Onne near Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Prompt News Online checks revealed that Echefu who also bagged First Class Honours in Computer Science in the Faculty of Military Science and Inter Disciplinary Studies at NDA is expected to use the period of internship to practicalise what she learnt in the classroom in NDA.
A native of Mbeke Community in Osuh-Owerri, Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State, Echefu also received the following academic awards at the 2019 NDA Graduation Ceremony:
- Commander-in- Chief Best Graduating Cadet Academic Award
- Afe Bablola Best Behaved Graduating Cadet Award
- Chief of Defence Staff Best Graduating Cadet Award in Military Science and Inter Disciplinary Studies
- Commandant Best Graduating Cadet in Computer Science.
- Best Graduating Cadet in Navy.
The emerging young military professional who hugged the headlines in the national and international news media two weeks ago for her rare academic achievements in NDA is set to break more glass ceilings if her performance in the revered military high institution is anything to rely upon.
