Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, returned to Abuja, late Tuesday night after meeting for about an hour with ailing President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
His Media Aide, Laolu Akande, confirmed this on his Twitter Handle @akandeoj, adding that the Acting President will preside over the weekly Cabinet meeting this morning starting at 11.00hours.
Akande also said his Principal will soon share more information about his meeting with the President.
“AgP Osinbajo now back in Abuja from London & will be presiding over FEC this morning starting @ 11am at the Council Chambers in Aso Rock
“We will soon share more information about AgP Osinbajo’s London meeting with President Buhari. It was a very good meeting. God bless Nigeria,” Akande tweeted.
Prompt News Online recalls that Mr. Osinbajo, hurriedly left for London Tuesday afternoon for talks with Mr. Buhari at the instance of the latter.
It will be recalled that while the President was leaving the country on Sunday, May 7, he said in a letter to the National Assembly that he would remain in London until his Doctors confirm him fit to return to Nigeria.
He also stated in the letter that while away, his Vice, Mr Osinbajo, will coordinate affairs of government.
