Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has deleted all pictures and videos featuring Napoli shirts on his instagram page.
This action follows a VIDEO posted on the club’s official TikTok page which appeared to mock his penalty miss against Bologna during the weekend.
Osimhen is reportedly furious with the club and considering a legal action against Napoli according to his agent, Roberto Calenda.
In a statement released by Roberto, he said, what happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. He reiterated that, “a video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted”.
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news”. “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”, he said.
Last season Osimhen Napoli to its first Serie A title in 33 years with 31 goals in 39 games.
However, there was an outrage by Nigerian fans when Napoli twitter handle posted a picture, crowning Osimhen’s team mate, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as king of Napoli.
This according to football fans was an effort to downplay the Nigerian’s overwhelming contribution to the club’s success.

According to Pooja, an accredited FIFA and CAF journalist, “Serie A & Napoli did EVERYTHING last season to “tune down” the impacts of Osimhen in their title-winning season. They started pushing different narratives about Kvara, crowned him the king of Napoli with less important goals & we overlooked. But now,they must feel am like Davido”
He further said, “Osimhen was loyal to the club, the fans & rejected a MAD offer from Saudi Arabia because he believed that he could continue to write histories with the club. But look how they’ve been careless about him.”

Another Fan, Dr Dipo Awojide popularly known as @OgbeniDipo on X (Twitter) reacted saying The disrespect that Napoli has shown Osimhen suggests that no matter the level of success he brings them he will always be an outsider. They want the goals and the success but they don’t want him.
PROMPT NEWS reports that Victor Osimehn is no doubt one of the hottest strikers in the world and will not be short of suitors especially in the Premier League. Now it’s left to be seen the next line of action to be taken by the Super Eagles striker.
