Victor Osimhen’s outrageous overhead kick against Antalyaspor has made it to the record books.
The 25-year-old scored Galatasaray’s third goal in the 3-0 rout of Antalyaspor on Sunday night.
The Nigeria international took the place of Argentine Mauro Icardi on 72 minutes.
The forward powered home acrobatically in stoppage time.
According to CNN Turk, it was only the second goal in the world to be scored from a height of more than the 2.30 metres barrier.
Osimhen’s spectacular effort from a height of 2.32 metres.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo’s overhead kick goal for Real Madrid against Juventus in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League in the 2017/2018 season bettered his feat.
The height from which Ronaldo scored his goal was recorded as 2.38 metres.
