Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala is delighted to continue her goal scoring spree for Barcelona Ladies in their Liga Iberdrola 3-2 defeat to Recreativo Huelva at the Miniestadi on Wednesday, Promptnewsonline.com reports.
The Super Falcons star grabbed a brace as the Barcelona Ladies suffered their first defeat of the campaign.
The former Liverpool and Arsenal Ladies star scored on her debut against Rayo Vallecano last Sunday, hitting the back of the net with her first touch after coming on as substitute.
Luis Cortés’ side took control of the game in the early stages, and it was no surprise when Oshoala opened the scoring on 16 minutes.
Martens and Hamraoui came close as the hosts dominated, with Vicky Losada having a shot saved by goalkeeper Sara Serrat, and Andonova hitting the post direct from a corner.
It was an entirely different story after the break, Huelva scoring three goals in just nine minutes through Raquel, after an error, Anita with a header, and Flor after a good counter attack.
Oshoala reduced the deficit six minutes from time but her side could not find the equaliser as they suffered their first defeat of the campaign.
The former Rivers Angels star took to the social media to celebrate her goals and also backed the team to bounce back from the setback.
“Lost but glad to score 2 goals today. We keep fighting @FCBfemeni #AlhamdulilahAlways⚽️⚽️,”she tweeted.
Oshoala who is on loan at the club from Chinese Women League outfit, Dalian Quanjian has now scored three goals in two outings for the Barcelona Ladies.
