Erstwhile Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh has expressed displeasure with the number of home-based players included in the team’s provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled Super Eagles’ 41-man for Cote d’Ivoire 2023 on Wednesday.
Only three players from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) make the squad.
The trio are goalkeepers; Ojo Olorunleke, Amas Obasogie and Christian Nwoke.
A number of football pundits have blasted head coach Jose Peseiro for his decision.
Oliseh has now joined the list of critics and called for inclusion of more local players in the team. READ ALSO:

“If we had superstars like in the 90’s and early 2000’s playing at D very top world clubsides,champions league etc one could understand d absence of homebased in a 40 man call-up.
“Haba, dem just want kill everything wey be home-based in favour of football business! Time we acted!!, Oliseh wrote on his X account.
